When I was 16 I bought Sylvia Plath’s unabriged journals. I never finished reading them. She killed herself when her son was 1. Her children were nearby. I wonder if Nicholas Hughes has children of his own.

I met someone recently who told me she wanted to die. She has been sick and she doesn’t look like most of us. I cannot tell her faith alone will heal her because I have seen, sometimes faith is all she has, but she doesn’t get well.

I still hope she gets well though.
